Abraham rescues Lot in spite of an incredible inconvenience and potential destruction of his own family in the process. He took a tremendous risk but he loved his nephew. Lot had made a foolish choice by traveling to the land of Sodom but Abraham didn’t simply leave him to the natural consequences of his choices. Abraham demonstrates the type of kindness and concern for a family member in trouble that we all ought to have for one another as the Body of Christ.
